Wilson now has stable of backs

In his first season as the running backs coach at Ole Miss, Frank Wilson had to deal with a lack of true quality running backs with perhaps the best back on the team on the scout team due to a transfer.

Now in his third season as the mentor of the Rebel's running attack, Wilson may have the most veteran group players than any other position.

Ole Miss returns 1,000 yard rusher Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis for his senior season and he will be spelled by another senior in Bruce Hall. After that the Rebels have sophomore Cordera Eason, who was Gatorade Player of the Year in Mississippi two years ago.

"It's gratifying to have guys that have been with the program as long as I have," laughed Wilson. "You can tell in our meetings that the players have the offense down, they are comfortable with it and they are an experienced group."

Wilson, who had ties with Green-Ellis back in their days in the New Orleans school district, is very proud of what he accomplished last year, but is expecting more from the standout back this season.
