Crum constant in involving Irish defense

Not much has changed for Maurice Crum.

Sure, the reserved linebacker will captain Notre Dame this season for the first time. And yes, the senior is enjoying a healthy off-season after back surgery robbed him of spring practice a year ago. But when it comes to Notre Dame's new defense under Corwin Brown and the 3-4 front, Crum doesn't see much difference.

"No matter where you line up it's a matter of attitude," Crum said. "I'm a firm believer that no matter where I'm placed on the field that I have the attitude that I'm going to make a play."
