The Big Cat Speaks - On Wisconsin


The final results are in, everything that is worth counting has been counted and now all there is left to do is wait. The Cougars finished their 2007 spring practice session with their final scrimmage last week and head football coach Bill Doba was not able to unearth many surprises. Doba found Wazzu was wealthy in the receiver department and needy in the defensive secondary - and spring play did nothing to substantially deviate from the norm in those two areas.

"I feel really good about our receivers and linebackers," says Doba, who jokingly tosses in that the linebacker improvement must come from good coaching since he took over linebacker coaching duties this year and adds that he sees an overall team improvement as well. "The overall team attitude seemed to come together better as a team than when we started."
