Georgia ATH gets first two offers

Roswell (Ga.) athlete Alex Daniel has picked up his first two scholarship offers, both from Division I-A programs, during the last two weeks. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound safety/linebacker also believes that several more could be on the way in the near future.

"Air Force offered me last Thursday and Central Florida offered me Tuesday," he said. "I was talking to (Falcons head coach) Troy Calhoun on the phone last Thursday and they offered me then, but then they sent it in the mail over the weekend

"(Golden Knights head coach) George O'Leary called my head coach (Tim McFarlin) Tuesday and told them they were offering me a scholarship," he said. "I then got on the phone with (UCF recruiter) Dave Huxtable and he told me that they were going to send it to me in the mail very soon."
