Hagans visited Athens on Saturday
One of the fast rising prospects in the state of Georgia right now is lineman Cordian Hagans. Hagans could play either side of the ball on the next level and he is starting to get a lot of attention. A number of schools have offered him including LSU, Auburn, and South Carolina. Hagans was in Athens Saturday, but it was not for the NIKE Camp, but it was to check out Georgia.
"It went pretty good at Georgia," said Hagans. "I got a chance to meet the coaches, see the facilities, and learn about their program. It was nice just to hang out with them and get to know them."
Hagans spent more time with Mark Richt than any other Georgia coach. He thought that was great.
"It was exciting to meet him and get to see what he is like. He is a real nice guy and easy to talk to. It meant a lot for him to spend so much time with me and talk to me about just life, how school is going, and things like that."
"He showed me around a little bit, introduced me to some former players (Kedric Golston and Gerald Anderson), and talked to me a little about Georgia too. It was just a real good experience."
The Dawgs have not yet offers, but Hagans thinks it could happen very soon.
"They said they are real close to offering me and I think it is going to happen," he said. "It will be exciting to get the offer and I am looking forward to it."
