Visit to Kentucky impresses Legion

The arrival of Billy Gillispie at Kentucky and the departure of Tommy Amaker at Michigan have resulted in the Wildcats becoming a major player in the newly re-opened recruitment of Alex Legion, a four-star guard at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.

Legion, who is originally from Detroit, signed with the home state Wolverines in the fall but requested a release from his letter-of-intent when Amaker was fired at the conclusion of the season. Michigan granted a release for the 6-foot-5 wing player, and he is currently in the process of evaluating a short list of schools.

On Thursday, Legion made an official visit to UK to see what the Wildcats have to offer.
