Plenty of options at fullback for OU

With closed doors during spring practices, one of the areas of information that suffered most was news regarding specialist spots on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

One of those areas that wasn't talked about during spring football was the fullback position. SoonerScoop.com Editor Carey Murdock recently caught up with offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson to talk about his thoughts on the fullback spot during 15 spring workouts.

Wilson has a pretty good grasp on the position considering he is responsible for coaching fullbacks and tight ends. So it's nice to catch up with Wilson to get a read on who made the most moves over the last two months.

The fullback position has become a bit of a hybrid position for Wilson as he's been able to utilize the physical and athletic qualities of Brody Eldridge as a lead blocker in the Oklahoma backfield.

But other candidates haven't been totally abandoned as Dane Zaslaw, Ian Pleasant and Matt Clapp are still squarely in the mix.
