Waco back grabs Big 12 offer

Waco High running back Jarred Salubi has been a fixture in the Lions offense since his sophomore season and in 2006 he established himself as one of the top backs in central Texas.

This spring coaches will have to wait to check out the 5-10, 195-pound. Not because he's in trouble or hurt or anything like that, he just has his eyes on another championship run.

According to the Waco back having to sit and watch practices has its pluses and minuses.

While Salubi is not able to participate in spring ball just yet, college recruiters are letting him know they are interested.

Schools showing interest include Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahom State and Ohio State. His first offer came from Texas Tech.
