Lineman Sedlacek could stay in state
Part of the reason why Ryan Sedlacek felt a little at home this past weekend was that he was just an hour away from his actual hometown.
The offensive tackle from Westport was also comforted by the sounds of the Huskies' entrance song, "Carmina Burana," when the recruits walked out from the locker room at Rentschler Field. Staples, his high school team, also walks onto the field with the song playing in the background.
The trip to the stadium punctuated what Sedlacek described as an awesome trip.
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive tackle is hearing from schools such as Florida, Notre Dame, Penn State and Purdue and has picked up his only scholarship offer from Illinois within the past month.
