Tulsa gains in-state commitment

Head Coach Todd Graham and his University of Tulsa staff have added their third commitment for the 2008 class in 5-foot-10 and 165-pound athlete Bobby Smith of Putnam City (OK) High School. The versatile Smith played numerous positions as a junior, but indicated that he will use his speed and quickness in the defensive backfield for the Golden Hurricane.

Smith was used on both sides of the ball as a junior. On defense, he recorded 48 tackles. On offense, he rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries as a running back and had three catches for 63 yards as a wide receiver. However, he indicated he will play cornerback for Tulsa.
