Slaughter likes what Irish can offer
Jamoris Slaughter trekked to the Blue-Gold Game on April 21 hoping to get an introduction to Notre Dame. Instead, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back from Stone Mountain, Ga., got a preview of everything associated with playing football for the Irish.
Aside from watching Notre Dame's spring scrimmage, Slaughter broke down film with defensive coordinator Corwin Brown, got a glimpse into the University's academic life and even signed a few autographs. Slaughter couldn't believe that a handful of Irish fans would recognize a standout from Tucker High School.
"I didn't know it would go down like that," Slaughter said. "A lot of little kids were coming up to me. They said they stay up with recruiting."
