Wade ready to showcase his skills

The last time Florida State signed a 6-foot-5 plus wide receiver he went on to catch more touchdowns in his first two seasons than anybody in school history. That player is Greg Carr, who already has 21 career receiving touchdowns placing him sixth on FSU's all-time list just 10 short of the all-time record held by Peter Warrick.




Last February, the 'Noles picked up another wideout that is eerily similar in frame and ability to Carr. At 6-foot-6 and 190 pounds, Cameron Wade is nearly the exact same height and weight as the 'Noles' rising sophomore when he first enrolled. And like Carr, the Cairo High School standout went a bit under the recruiting radar. In fact, because he played for a run-oriented program, he rarely had the opportunity to show off his receiving skills in high school. As a result, he was rated only the 55th best wide receiver in the country and had a three-star ranking according to Rivals.com.
