Bruins stop by to see Fabbri

The May evaluation period is the first part of the recruiting cycle where things really start to heat up and the Bruins' staff is out in full force on the road. A linebacker they stopped by to visit last week is Zander Fabbri (6-1, 245, 4.69) from Bakersfield (Calif.) Centennial High School.

As a junior, Fabbri was named his league's defensive player of the year and first team all-state under-class. He recorded 94 tackles on defense and also had 833 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns on offense. "I am great at stopping the run and reading an offense," Fabbri says. "A couple of schools like me on offense as a fullback, but I like playing 'backer. It really doesn't matter though, I'll play anything."
