Mackey the MVP

At the Nike football training camps, position coaches and roving scouts select MVP's from each position group, and the crowd of over 300 prospects in attendance at the State College Nike Camp this weekend gave the coaches and scouts some tough decisions. When it was all said and done, eight players walked away with MVP awards: seven position MVP's and one overall MVP.

While each of those eight players were exceptional at the camp, Newark (DE) Christiana defensive end Leon Mackey, the defensive line MVP, was easily among the most impressive.

A short list of who Mackey is hearing from includes Pitt, West Virginia, Florida State, Clemson, Penn State, Rutgers, and Alabama, but that list certainly isn't all-inclusive.
