Huskers take early lead

Last season, El Camino College in southern California ended up beating perennial JC power, City College of San Francisco, for the California state championship. With players like Tavares Pressley, they could end up being one of the top junior colleges again this year.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound running back has moved down state from the Monterey Peninsula College, a school that he helped to win nine games out of ten last season. It is no wonder. He accounted for 1,736 all-purpose yards and 25 touchdowns as a freshman at Monterey Peninsula. Those numbers should be attracting a few top schools and it has. The Huskers have taken an early lead.
