RB Willis looking to go the academic route

A number of things can lure a recruit into a commit: instant playing time, a strong program with a storied history, the chance to play for a national or conference title, etc.

Though, it's not often a kid chooses a college entirely because of an academic program.

But Darius Willis might do just that.

Willis, a 6-0, 200-pound running back out of Indianapolis Franklin Central, has received attention from scores of schools not just in the Midwest but across the country. USC, Nebraska, Virginia, Notre Dame, Penn State and "really every Big Ten school" have shown interest in Willis, according to Central head coach Lance Scheib. But Scheib thinks his player's decision will be based on one thing: which college has the best business program.
