'Happy' Finau a fierce competitor
Athletic defensive end Tevita Finau (6-foot-5, 275) of Phoenix Community College is Samoan by ancestry, a native of New Zealand by birth and came to football just a couple of seasons ago on the Hawaiian island of Awahu.
His parents are natives of the Tonga Islands, which are about 3,000 miles southwest of Honolulu.
Finau plans to graduate from junior college in May and then enroll in a school like Southern Cal or West Virginia (both of whom have offered) with five years to play four, befits that description of his parents' native islands.
