Imeokparia Waiting For Offers

Blairstown (NJ) Blair Academy's Ed Imeokparia currently sports four offers, the most recent coming from the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest. He emerged onto the recruiting scene after an impressive showing at the Nike Combine and expects at least three more offers to come in the next few weeks.

"I think Michigan State will offer real soon. They've been contacting me a lot lately." Imeokparia continued, "North Carolina State and Wisconsin are two others that I think will offer soon too."

Imeokparia wants to wait a couple of months for the rest of his suitors to offer a scholarship before taking visits and narrowing his list.

"I want to wait until the end of the month to set up some visits. And then make a choice at the end of summer before the seasons starts."

A two-way star, RB/DB, for Blair Academy, Imeokparia wants to play running back and that is how most are recruiting me. What separates him from most recruits is not only his speed, but also strength and smarts.

"My fastest time in the forty was 4.32, but that's not half my game. I'm stronger than most people my size. I bench 315lbs and squat 500lbs," Imeokaparia stated. "I'm smart too. I have a 3.0 GPA and could get into most places without football."

When asked what he thought about Wake Forest, he replied.

"I really liked what they did last year. They bursted onto the scene by winning the ACC Championship. It will be interesting to see how they respond next year. Something I'll be watching closely."

The ACC Championship and appearance in the Orange Bowl has opened the eyes of many recruits as Wake Forest already has two commits from heavily recruited prospects. Along with Imeokparia, the rest of the college football loving world will be anxious to see how the Demon Deacons respond.
