Bailey mapping out summer plans

Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell Academy offensive lineman Preston Bailey is one of the top overall prospects in the Volunteer State's class of 2008, and he's currently mapping out his summer unofficial visit plans.

"As of today, I'm planning on taking visits this summer to South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisville, Michigan and possibly Florida," the 6-foot-5, 315-pound Bailey said. "I don't have any dates set in stone, but those are my plans right now.

Bailey, who bench presses 275 pounds, is excited about what the Gamecocks have to offer.

"I've watched South Carolina play several times on TV since coach (Steve) Spurrier has been there, and I like the way they've been playing," he said. "I've also heard a lot of good things about their program in the media. Coach Spurrier has made a big change down there already, and it seems like bigger things are coming. Coach (Steve) Spurrier Jr. came by my school earlier this month."
