Bernard weighing options

Although he doesn't plan to make a decision for some time, Harold Bernard already likes what he sees from Mike Riley's Oregon State program.

Bernard, a 6-foot-1, 175 pound ATH from Chandler (Ariz.) Chandler is being recruited by Riley's Beavers as a safety who may eventually move to OLB, depending on how much weight his thin frame gains on a college weight training program.

"I'm only 180 right now, but I guess they like the way I hit so hard," Bernard said. "That's a lot of weight to put on, but they mentioned it as a possibility."

Bernard doesn't have a favorite yet, and is weighing scholarship offers from Oregon State, Nevada, Colorado State and Air Force. Several other schools are knocking on the door, and may offer soon, but according to Bernard, OSU's early impression won't be forgotten.
