Burge has a top three
Houston Stratford defensive tackle Jimmy Burge is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after defensive line prospects from the Lone Star state. The 6-foot-2, 275 pound run stopper has offers from teams throughout the midwest all the way to California.
Burge holds offers from TCU, Fresno State, Missouri, Tulane, Kansas, Stanford, and Boise State and is on the verge of receiving one from Northwestern.
With an impressive list to choose from Burge has put together a group of teams that he feels are on top for his services.
"Right now my top three would be Missouri first, then TCU and Boise State," he said. "I like Missouri because I was born there and have family there. I also think Coach Pinkel is making the program win more games and possibly in place to win a Big 12 championship. I like TCU because of the way they play football and I like Coach Patterson's attitude. I like Boise State because I like Coach Peterson and they have a reputation on winning games."
"I've been to Missouri's campus because my grandparents live right by campus and I've got the chance to work around the entire campus. I've also seen TCU's, it's a pretty campus but the biggest thing I like about TCU is the coaching staff and they just win football games."
Burge has plans on attending Northwestern's camp and Missouri's next week. He's unsure whether or not he'll be able to attend TCU's. One thing he is sure of is a time line on his decision, one he hopes to make soon.
"I'm planning on committing before June is over."
