Auburn moves into lead for d-tackle

Big, athletic defensive tackles like Duluth (Ga.) Northview standout Cordian Hagans are always a high priority in recruiting.

While a number of schools have offered the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Hagans, one recently moved to the forefront.

"I think Auburn probably went a little above South Carolina," said Hagans.

The Tigers and Gamecocks were previously tied atop Hagans' long list of suitors that also includes offers from LSU, Clemson, North Carolina, N.C. State, Mississippi State, Boston College and Arizona State.

According to Hagans, Auburn has him very high on their board.
