Groves OL a priority for Spartans

Not long after new Michigan State Head Coach Mark Dantonio had just finished signing the class of 2007, he and his staff stared focusing on next year. One of the very first players the Spartans offered for the class of 2008 was 6-foot-5, 300-pound Deon'tae Pennell of Birmingham Groves High School.

Pennell is a massive prospect that has seen his stock rise significantly over the past few months. Michigan State was sold on Pannell potential early on and the Spartans staff has been in contact frequent ever since.

Pannell indicated that the teams that are recruiting him the hardest are Michigan State, Penn State and Wisconsin.
