Familiar territory

Maryland has been a state that has become very important in Syracuse recruiting. Over the past two seasons the Orange have landed seven players from the state and the Orange are back in familiar territory as they try to land a few more prospect from the Old Line state. One player that has caught the eyes of the Orange coaching staff is Greenbelt (MD) Eleanor Roosevelt product Dalonte Wallace.

Wallace (6-foot-0 206-pounds) was a first team all league selection as a junior after he racked up 92 tackles including 11 sacks.

The solid numbers that Wallace had last season came as he was lined up as a defensive end, high school might be that last time he plays the position, the Orange are interested in him but they are looking for him to try out a new position on defense.
