Gettysburg defensive end goes camping

This past weekend defensive end Logan Shultz (6' 2" 260) from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania camped at the UPMC complex on the Southside. Today he is camping at Penn State.

Shultz told the Pantherlair, "I attended Pitt's camp on Friday. I really liked it there. I worked out with Coach Gattuso. He really coached me up. I had a good workout. Coach Brian Angelichio has been recruiting me. I have been told that Coach Wannstedt is watching my film and at that they would get back to me tonight or tomorrow (Tuesday)."

Shultz went on to say, "I am up at Penn State right now. I ill also be here tomorrow (Tuesday). We had three workouts today. It was hot at the afternoon session. I also camped at Clemson. They had just put in a new turf and it was really hot there. It is the hottest place I have been. The Penn State coaches have told me they will probably offer me a scholarship by the time camp ends. If Pitt and Penn State offer it could force me to make decisions."

In addition to the camps at Pitt, Penn State and Clemson Shultz has also camped at West Virginia. He has made an unofficial visit to Rutgers and he attended the Nike Camp at State College.

Shultz said, "I think I will camp at three more schools. I will camp at Michigan, Syracuse and probably Tennessee."

Shultz currently holds a written offer from Boston College and written offers from Boston College but it looking for more.

As a junior Shultz earned first team all-state, all-conference and all-district honors.
