Elliott picks school

Add Houston (Texas) Alief Taylor athlete Donte Elliott to the list of Boston College verbal commits. Elliott becomes the fourth player in the last eight days and the sixth player this month to pick the Eagles.

"I haven't been on a visit yet but I'm planning to go before the summer is over," Elliott said. "I did a lot of research and they're a top 20 college and a top 20 football program. It's a great school. It was a big decision but I felt it would be a change of scenery for me and it's a good school."

Elliott, a 6-foot, 180-pound prospect, played five games at quarterback and six games at strong safety last season. He said Boston College recruited him to play strong safety. As a junior, Elliott finished with about 25 solo tackles and 10 tackles for loss.
