Cats join mix for Lexington Catholic's Guy

Kentucky recently joined the list of schools on the offer sheet of Lexington Catholic standout Winston Guy, joining the likes of Arkansas, Cincinnati, Minnesota and Middle Tennessee.

"They gave me the offer during camp at UK," Guy said. "Camp was good. We played a lot of games and played well against the teams that were there. I like the 7-on7."

In between games at the camp, Guy was able to catch up with just about all of Kentucky's coaching staff.

"I talked to Joker Phillips, I talked to Chuck Smith, coach Lockwood, Steve Brown, and finally I got to talk to Rich Brooks," he said. "He came up to me and put his arm around me, and said, 'Winston, we just offered you'. He asked what I thought, and I told him thanks, and that I was very excited. I also told him I wouldn't mind coming to UK. Coach Brooks seems like a laid-back coach. To me personally, he doesn't seem like the kind of coach that would get angry a lot."
