Record-setting receiver lands UW offer
As little as a month ago, Cody Bruns was still awaiting his first scholarship offer. However, he called June "a hectic month," in which he attended camps at four different schools and received scholarship offers from all four, the most recent of which came on June 30, from the University of Washington.
Oregon State was the first to offer the talented wide receiver from Prosser High School, Wash., while Boise State and Washington State followed suit after witnessing his abilities first-hand.
There had been some speculation that because of his size (5-foot-11, 175 pounds) he might be a better fit as a cornerback at the Division-I level, but those theories can officially end now, as all four schools are recruiting him to play wide receiver.
