Beavers look for a Spark

He's noted that Chad Johnson is his role model as a receiver. So it only makes sense that Jarrett Sparks is taking a look at Oregon State in his college recruitment. It's going to be a battle for the big 6-foot-3, 210-pound wideout from Merced High School in California as almost the entire Pac-10 is involved, but look for the Beavers to stay on Sparks hard as he's keeping everyone on a level field as he completes a busy off-season.

"Things have been going good this summer," Sparks said. "I went to a few camps so I've been doing that and playing (AAU) basketball. I went to the Cal and USC camps and I did pretty good at both - I was MVP at the Cal one. Other than that, I've been working on my speed mostly."
