Florida DT bulks up, lands offers

Oviedo (Fla.) defensive tackle Dwight Tucker expects to be a new player on the field this fall after a hard offseason of work has helped him grow from about 250 pounds to 270 pounds.

After playing the 2006 season as mostly a linebacker, Tucker will take his new 270 pound body to the defensive line this year, and his progress over the summer has already attracted several scholarship offers.

"Yeah I've got scholarship offers from Duke, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky, Mississippi State, Richmond, and that's all I have on my head right now," Tucker said this week. "I think there's about seven."
