Rollins taking Midwest tour

Beginning July 23, three-star linebacker Tarik Rollins will leave his Hollywood, Fla. (Chaminade-Madonna), home to head north, where he will take in a Midwest unofficial visit tour.

Rollins said he's already taken several unofficial visits to schools in the southeastern region of the United States this spring and summer, visiting NC State, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and LSU. He did not camp with any programs this summer.

While Rollins claims he's still without leaders, he visited ACC/SEC country with some goals in mind, and he came away impressed with what he saw.

"I wanted to see what I wanted to major in," Rollins said of his visits, adding that he's interested in sports management, "and I wanted to see how the school was like, like the atmosphere, how the coaches were and see if there was an opportunity for me to come there."

Rollins said his unofficial visit checklist won't change when he heads north...
