Hawgs land 10th commitment

Arkansas lost its bowl game in Orlando (Fla.) earlier this year, but won a recruiting battle there today for Dr. Phillips running back Thomas Shuler.

Shuler, 6-0, 230, 4.58, orally committed to Arkansas on Tuesday. Shuler chose Arkansas over Florida State, Auburn, West Virginia, LSU, Ohio State, Louisville and others.

"Arkansas runs the ball half the time and that was what I was looking for," Shuler said. "I like Darren McFadden, he can do anything on the football field."

Shuler said he has 11 or 12 offers at this time. Dr. Phillips coach Kevin Pettis feels that Arkansas is getting a great running back.
