Four-star linebacker pondering commitment

Loris (S.C.) four-star linebacker Jonathan Willard, the Palmetto State's No.10 ranked player in the class of 2008, is on the verge of making a public commitment.

"It looks like I'm going to commit in the next two weeks to three weeks," the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Willard said. "I'm still thinking about my decision, but I like schools like USC, Clemson and Tennessee."

Willard, who racked up 130 tackles and 14 tackles for loss as a junior, likes what South Carolina has to offer.

"I love their stadium, the way it looks and how big it is," he said. "I like how their team is so competitive, and their coaches want them to become one of the best teams in the SEC. Their coaches do a good job of staying in touch with me."
