Recruiting process rolls on for Edwards

Recruiting gurus say that the State of Louisiana may not have as many top prospects for Class of 2008 that they have had in past years.

Tyler Edwards is one of the handful of exceptions to that thought.

The Ouachita tight end is a four-star prospect according to the latest Rivals.com rankings. The 6-3, 222-pound Edwards is rated as the nation's 11th-best tight end and the sixth-best overall player in the State of Louisiana.

Despite catching only 22 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns his junior season, Edwards boasts scholarship offers from LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Michigan and Mississippi State.
