Griffin still looking for first offer

Consider the curious case of West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade quarterback Ryan Griffin.

He stands 6-foot-4 and 207 pounds and earned a three-star ranking from Rivals. Last season, he threw for 3,358 yards, with 32 touchdowns and just eight interceptions in leading Chaminade to a 9-4 record and the second round of the playoffs.

The lack of offers could benefit Northwestern, which is one of the schools showing the most interest in Griffin, along with LSU, Michigan State, UCLA and Washington.
