Allen returns to Chapel Hill

Fayetteville (N.C.) Terry Sanford tight end Dwayne Allen had a chance this weekend to make a return trip to North Carolina, where he participated in some seven-on-seven drills on the UNC practice field Saturday afternoon.

"It went well. I went up there to chill out and see some of the competition, and try to compete. That's what I tried to do," Allen said of the visit.

Allen arrived in Chapel Hill in time to participate in the team camp's morning session, where he jumped in with Woodberry Forest (Va)'s seven-on-seven squad. The 6-4, 243-pounder ran several pass routes, and made a couple of nice plays. On the very first route he ran, Allen beat his defender and made a leaping catch 25 yards downfield. He then eluded a defender and jogged into the end zone.
