Smith sets last trip before decision

Michigan has done a very good job of locking down their own state in the class of 2008, receiving commitments from four instate players in the class and losing out on just one. Four players with Michigan offers remain undecided in the state and one of them, Detroit Southeastern receiver Fred Smith, is nearing his decision.

The 6-2, 215-pound Smith is ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of Michigan and the No. 23 receiver in the country. He has narrowed his choices to Michigan State and Michigan and has one more unofficial visit to take before deciding.
