Georgia lineman enjoyed visit

Offensive lineman Zach Allen from Tift County High in Tifton, Ga., was supposed to arrive at NC State for an unofficial visit Thursday evening. But his arrival was delayed by a flat tire on the road. Allen showed up Friday instead, but he still enjoyed himself.

Allen, 6-foot-3, 310 pounds, is a relatively new name to the recruiting board for NC State. He was an all-state pick as a junior while leading Tift County to a 12-2 overall record and the state semis in the playoffs. NC State first noticed Allen during the evaluation period.
