Nebraska junior open to all
Pick a state, any state. Odds are in recruiting that most in-state prospects grow up following State U. That isn't the case with Jon Lechner, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound offensive lineman from Omaha, Neb.
"I follow Nebraska a little bit, but not too much," Lechner said. "I don't really follow any one particular team; I kind of like them all."
Lechner, who started at Creighton Prep as a sophomore, has emerged as one of the top prospects in the state of Nebraska for 2009. His coach has been handling all of the mail so far, but he knows of a few schools that have shown interest. Lechner hopes a strong junior season will lead to scholarship offers and even more interest from schools across the country.
