Timberview lineman receiving heavy interest

Just a few short years ago Mansfield (Texas) Timberview was starting up their program, and now it's a stop for almost every coach that comes through the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

People have known about Texas commitment Antoine Hicks since he set foot on the field and Wisconsin cornerback commitment Marcus Cromartie saw several offers roll in this spring.

Still Timberview has a number of prospects looking to grab attention from college coaches.

One player beginning to see his stock rise is Jared Edwards, who transferred in from Brownsboro, Texas, where he was named second team 14-3A and honorable mention all-Henderson County as a junior offensive tackle.

The 6-5, 270-pound prospect faced his share of competition on the 3A level but is looking forward to playing 5A football.
