Rutgers 2007: Getting back to business

Piscataway, NJ - Today, the Rutgers' football team reported to camp with expectations that are loftier than ever. There is a constant buzz surrounding this team that hasn't been there in years past.

"It's exciting," said junior quarterback Mike Teel. "I couldn't sleep last night. I felt like I was getting ready to play a game. The summer went fast, but we really grinded this off-season and we're looking forward to getting out there and starting the season the right way."

Fellow junior, and one of Teel's favorite targets, Tiquan Underwood will be part of a more potent passing attack this season. Underwood has already shaken off last year's leg injury, and now a more muscular Underwood is ready to pick up where he left off.

"I felt fine playing spring ball and from there I've just been rolling," Underwood stated. "Coming into camp, we're getting all this notoriety which is good. We just can't let people down. We got to live up to the expectations. We're deep at the receiver position and we're young. We could all help and contribute because we all bring different things to the table."

With the advent of any new season comes a set of expectations set by the team's coach. Head Coach Greg Schiano talked about how he sees the future.
