Big summer has made Painter an elite recruit

What a run it has been for 2009 post player Deshawn Painter. The 6-foot-8, 200-pounder from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, Va., was a relative unknown nationally following a sophomore year in which he averaged about eight points and eight rebounds per game. But one strong showing after another on the AAU and camp circuit and Painter is now one of the most coveted players in his class.

In fact, ranks him as the No. 24 overall prospect in the class of 2009.

"It's a dream come true for me," said Painter with a laugh. "My whole summer went really well. It was my best summer ever."

Painter then highlighted two specific aspects of his summer that really stood out.
