Lockhart sees opportunity at Georgia Tech

Blountstown (Fla.) cornerback Jon Lockhart was being recruited by a lot of schools, but Georgia Tech was where he felt the most comfortable. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder had visited the school in July and with the season fast approaching he didn't want to wait any longer to get his college plans in order.

"I had been thinking about it ever since I made the visit," Lockhart said. "I just had to come back home, think it over and talk with my parents. I just decided to go ahead and make my commitment."

Lockhart called assistant coach Charles Kelly, who recruits the Florida panhandle, to give him the good news.
