Dantonio keeps Detroit pipeline flowing with Woods

Head Coach Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans picked up an important commitment this week when Melvindale High School product Anthony Woods decided to join the Green and White. The 6-foot-4, 308-pound Woods was a standout performer at the Spartan camp earlier this summer and will be looked on to provide an early impact in East Lansing. SpartanMag.com spoke with Woods about his commitment to Michiagn State University.

As far as what stood out about Michigan State, Woods had the following to say:

Woods was offered by the Spartans last week. In addition to Michigan State, he also had scholarship offers from Colorado, Indiana, Toledo and Eastern Michigan. SpartnaMag.com has also learned that Virginia Tech and West Virginia were both close to pulling the trigger as well.
