Furtch overcomes obstacles in fall practice
Two-a-days is probably the most dreaded term among Texas high school athletes. It brings to mind hours of drills and scrimmages in the scorching August heat, with morning and afternoon sessions broken up by a break that seems to last only about five minutes.
Furtch has started out August working primarily at free safety, but the 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect also has seen a little bit of time at cornerback as well.
Due to state-mandated rules, Paris is practicing in shorts and t-shirts this week and will have an intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday.
