Duke major player for 2009 five-star
More often than not, the Duke Blue Devils men's basketball program gets mentioned by some of the nation's top prospects every single year when the topic of recruiting is brought into conversation. One prospect that seems to be talking a lot about Duke is class of 2009 five-star small forward Hollis Thompson from Loyola (Los Angeles, Calif.) High School.
Over the course of the summer, the 6-foot-6, 180-pounder became one of the hottest targets in the country, as he dominated his competition on a very tough AAU circuit.
Once the summer months got underway, in addition to Duke, Thompson started hearing from schools such as UCLA, Southern Cal, Arizona, Georgetown, Wake Forest, UConn, Stanford, Washington, Arizona State, Nebraska, North Carolina and Texas, among others.
