Newest commit excited to be a Tiger

Football and school are important to Reggie Hunt.

That's why the Daphne (Ala.) star tailback wanted to end what can be a very taxing recruiting process early, clearing him to have a normal senior year.

He did just that Friday when he announced his commitment.

"I committed to Auburn," said Hunt. "The season is getting started and I've been thinking about it for a while now. I talked it over with my mom and she liked it so I went ahead and did it.

"It feels good. Now I can put everything aside and focus on my senior season."

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Hunt had numerous offers to choose from but his final two came down to Auburn and West Virginia. It turns out AU running back coach Eddie Gran, who's put a half dozen backs in the NFL, was the difference.
