Murray picks Eagles
When Bryan Murray came to Wheaton (Md.) Good Counsel he weighed 342 pounds. Murray, a defensive tackle who recently verbally committed to Boston College, was put on a rigorous training program. He now weighs 288 pounds, stands 6-foot-1 and he's faster and more agile than ever.
Murray, who has reportedly been shown interest by Maryland and Florida, won the WCAC heavyweight wrestling championship this past season. Buffalo had also offered him. Rivals.com rates Murray as the 16th best player in the Maryland top 20 of 2008.
Good Counsel, which opens its regular season against Baltimore (Md.) Cardinal Gibbons on Friday, has a few Division I prospects in the 2008 and 2009 classes, including a defensive tackle that plays alongside Murray in Corey Boatman, who lists offers from Cincinnati, Rutgers, Syracuse and Miami (Ohio).
