Scouting Northwood at Jordan-Matthews

Last Friday was a good chance for local NC State fans to see a nice high school match-up. Commitment Tobais Palmer, a running back for Northwood High in Pittsboro, N.C., made the short trip to play county rival Jordan-Matthews High in Siler City. The Jets have a defensive tackle named Anthony Garner, who was at NC State's home opener against Central Florida along with Palmer on an unofficial visit. Here is a scouting report of the two players.

The Game

Northwood was the favorite, but they would leave town defeated. The Chargers, considered one of the top 2-A teams in the state with wins over a pair of 4-A teams already this year, were a bigger school than Jordan-Matthews, a 1-A team.
