If you're on the campus of the University of Southern California for more than, say, five minutes, you'll overhear someone saying something about the "Trojan Family."
It's a mantra that elicits myriad reactions from alumni and fans-alike. Rival schools make fun of Trojans for it, while Pete Carroll and company use it as a recruiting tool.
Others just take it literally. Take Champ, Maurice and Marquis for instance. All part of the same Simmons family, and all, come 2009, can say that they were, or are, part of the USC football family.
